Infinity Edge VELOCITY is a trader-directed trading and execution system for NinjaTrader® 8. It evaluates completed NinZaRenko bricks with an internal Heikin Ashi model, confirms structure with the underlying real-close price, and routes eligible orders with or without a NinjaTrader ATM template.
Quick Start
- Install and activate the supplied NinjaScript package and required NinZaRenko dependency.
- Create a NinZaRenko chart for the intended instrument, contract month, and Trading Hours template.
- Add InfinityEdgeVelocityStrategy and select the intended account.
- Enable the strategy. The VELOCITY panel loads with the strategy; you do not need to turn on the standard Chart Trader panel first.
- Confirm the synchronized instrument selector, account, order quantity, and optional ATM template.
- Open Session & Risk, enter the Start and End times, and set SESSION to ON or OFF.
- Enter the Profit and Loss amounts. Click each adjacent ON/OFF word independently so either, both, or neither risk limit is active.
- Open Entry Arming & Display and enable only the Break, Reclaim, and Reversal Doji entries you want eligible. Review the EMA Filter, Price Bars, and Auto Direction controls.
- Monitor SYSTEM STATUS, OPEN TRADES, OPEN P&L, NET TODAY, working orders, and the account position.
Your responsibility
You remain responsible for the instrument, contract month, account, quantity, ATM configuration, entry selections, session window, risk limits, working orders, and all open positions. VELOCITY cannot guarantee signals, fills, exit prices, or profitability.
How VELOCITY reads the market
VELOCITY combines NinZaRenko price structure, an internal Heikin Ashi calculation, white real-close confirmation dots, and the Infinity Edge directional background. The smoothing is used for setup recognition while the underlying real close keeps confirmation tied to actual chart prices.
Execution sequence
- A completed NinZaRenko brick is evaluated.
- Heikin Ashi structure, real-close position, background direction, and any enabled filters are checked.
- The event is recorded whether or not its entry type is armed, preventing late entries from historical signals.
- If the matching entry type is armed and all guards permit trading, VELOCITY submits a market entry.
- With an ATM selected, NinjaTrader creates and manages the ATM order set. With ATM set to None, VELOCITY submits a plain managed market order with no automatic brackets.
Important boundaries
- Only one VELOCITY strategy instance should own execution on a chart.
- The strategy provides the panel, execution engine, Heikin Ashi presentation, background, signal labels, and confirmation dots.
- Manual buttons use the same strategy and selected account rather than an unrelated standalone order panel.
Before installation
- Use a supported Windows computer running NinjaTrader 8 Desktop.
- Confirm market-data and brokerage or simulation connections work normally.
- Install and license the required NinZaRenko bar type if supplied separately.
- Use the purchaser’s own NinjaTrader user email—the same email assigned to the VELOCITY license.
- Download the current VELOCITY ZIP from the Downloads area of the purchaser’s Infinity Edge Trading account.
Import the package
- Save the NinjaTrader workspace and close unnecessary charts.
- Select Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On.
- Choose the ZIP exactly as downloaded. Do not extract or rename its internal files unless support directs you to do so.
- Accept the NinjaScript import warning only for the approved Infinity Edge package.
- Allow compilation to finish and resolve any reported dependency error before loading VELOCITY.
- Restart NinjaTrader if prompted, reconnect, and test in Simulation.
Create the chart
- Open a new chart for any supported instrument and current contract month.
- Select the intended NinZaRenko bar settings and Trading Hours template.
- Load enough history for initialization; VELOCITY requires at least 40 bars before trading.
Add VELOCITY
- Open the chart Strategies window and add InfinityEdgeVelocityStrategy.
- Select the account and review Maximum Active ATMs, optional Fallback ATM Template, time defaults, risk values, signal parameters, and visual settings.
- Enable the strategy and wait for SYSTEM READY. The VELOCITY panel and its underlying host load automatically.
- Use the panel’s instrument selector to change the chart instrument. It is synchronized with the chart selector and is not limited to NQ or MNQ.
Responsive layout
The floating chart can be resized from its edges or corners. The chart and VELOCITY panel resize together. When vertical space is limited, use the panel scrollbar to reach lower controls. Avoid adding a duplicate standalone VELOCITY indicator because it can create duplicate visuals.
An ATM template is optional. The value shown in the panel’s ATM Strategy selector is authoritative for manual entries; automated entries may also use the configured Fallback ATM Template when no visible template is selected.
With an ATM selected
- The ATM defines target allocation, stops, profit targets, breakeven rules, and trailing behavior.
- Native ATM entry, stop, and target lines remain visible and movable on the chart.
- Maximum Active ATMs limits automated signal-generated ATM exposure.
- Each manual Buy Market or Sell Market click can create an additional independent ATM and intentionally bypasses the automation-only ATM cap.
With ATM set to None
- Manual and automated entries use the visible Order qty.
- No automatic stop or profit target is created. The trader must manage and supervise the position.
- Repeated manual Buy Market or Sell Market clicks add to the position, subject to broker, account, and platform limits.
- Automated plain entries do not stack while a plain strategy position is already open.
Test the complete path
In Simulation, test Buy Market, Sell Market, repeated scale-ins, Close Position, Reverse Position, and—when used—the exact ATM template. Confirm quantity, brackets, working orders, and final flat status in NinjaTrader’s Accounts, Orders, Positions, and Executions displays.
| Control or display | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Instrument | Changes the chart and execution instrument through the synchronized NinjaTrader selector. |
| Account / Order qty | Selects the execution account and quantity used by plain and manual entries. |
| ATM Strategy | Selects an optional native ATM template. None means a market entry with no automatic brackets. |
| Bid / Ask | Shows current bid and ask prices and available size beside the compact ATM selector. |
| OPEN P&L | Shows unrealized P&L for the selected account and instrument, including VELOCITY manual, plain, and ATM positions. Click to cycle Currency, Points, and Ticks; the chart position flag follows the unit cycle. |
| SYSTEM STATUS / OPEN TRADES | Reports readiness, entry blocks, submissions, lockouts, and active tracked VELOCITY ATMs. |
| Position Override | Contains Buy Market, Sell Market, Close Position, and Reverse Position. These manual controls work with an ATM or as plain strategy orders. |
| Entry Arming & Display | Contains the two-column Break, Reclaim, Reversal Doji, and EMA controls, followed by Price Bars and Auto Direction. |
| Session & Risk | Combines Session ON/OFF, Start and End times, independent Profit and Loss limits, and NET TODAY in one compact section. |
| Profit / Loss | Each amount is editable and each adjacent ON/OFF word is independent. You may run Profit only, Loss only, both, or neither. |
| NET TODAY | Shows the selected account’s realized change from the session baseline plus current unrealized P&L. |
| Collapsible headers | Click the arrow on Position Override, Entry Arming & Display, or Session & Risk to roll that section up or open it again. |
The Open P&L row remains fixed near the top while the operating controls scroll only when the available chart height requires it. Roll up sections you are not using to reduce or eliminate scrolling. Always reconcile panel information with NinjaTrader’s native account and order displays.
The controls under Entry Arming & Display are compact persistent toggles, not one-shot commands. An illuminated control remains eligible for future qualifying signals until you click it again or an active Profit or Loss lock disarms the system. Long controls use the long color, short controls use the short color, and the old Cancel Armed Signals button has been removed.
The signal toggles are arranged in two aligned columns: Long Break with Short Break, Long Reclaim with Short Reclaim, and Reversal Doji with the 100 EMA Filter. Price Bars and Auto Direction appear directly below them. The entire section can be rolled up from its header.
Break
A Break is the first qualifying completed brick associated with a directional background transition. Long Break requires bullish confirmation; Short Break requires the opposite.
Reclaim
A Reclaim looks for continuation after a counter-directional pullback while the background remains established. Long Reclaim follows a bearish pullback in a bullish environment; Short Reclaim follows a bullish pullback in a bearish environment.
Reversal Doji
Reversal Doji uses the original First Doji rule: the first qualifying SMM/Heikin Ashi doji after the SMM color changes. The doji must meet the configured small-body percentage. Real Close above the HA body produces a long signal; Real Close below the HA body produces a short signal; a Real Close inside the body produces no signal. If another qualifying HA doji appears before the engine finds the relevant SMM color change, the later candidate is not treated as the first doji. The optional EMA Filter can still reject the entry without changing the historical signal definition.
Why a visible signal may not enter
A signal can be skipped when the exact type was not armed before the event, SESSION is OFF or outside its configured time range, the EMA Filter rejects it, an active Profit or Loss lock has latched, the automated ATM cap is reached, or a plain automated position is already open.
Profit and Loss are independent live risk locks inside the compact Session & Risk section. Each evaluates the selected strategy account’s realized P&L change from the current baseline plus the account’s current unrealized P&L on every strategy tick. Neither control waits for an open trade to close.
Configure each limit
- Enter any positive currency amount in the Profit field.
- Enter any positive currency amount in the Loss field; VELOCITY treats it as the negative threshold.
- Click the word beside Profit to change it between ON and OFF.
- Click the word beside Loss to change it between ON and OFF.
- The two states are independent: Profit only, Loss only, both, and neither are all valid configurations.
What happens when an active threshold is touched
- The corresponding lock latches immediately.
- All automated entry types are disarmed and queued direction changes are cancelled.
- VELOCITY requests closure of every tracked VELOCITY ATM and its plain managed strategy position.
- A centered alert shows the reason and current NET TODAY value.
- New VELOCITY entries remain blocked while the lock is active.
Scope
NET TODAY is account-level, so unrelated manual trades, instruments, or strategies in that account can contribute to the trigger. The automatic close is limited to positions VELOCITY can identify and manage; always verify the entire account is flat and no working orders remain before resuming.
Session control
The SESSION pill is an independent ON/OFF control. Start and End appear beside it in a compact time pill and accept four-digit 24-hour HHMM values. A start earlier than the end creates a same-day window; a start later than the end creates an overnight window. SESSION controls new automated entries, not the availability of manual intervention buttons.
SESSION, Profit, Loss, and NET TODAY are grouped under the collapsible Session & Risk header. Rolling the section up changes only the display; it does not change any active state.
EMA Filter
The 100 EMA Filter sits beside Reversal Doji in Entry Arming & Display. When enabled, the execution EMA must confirm the intended direction relative to the evaluated Heikin Ashi structure. It is an additional entry gate, not a replacement for the underlying setup rules.
Auto Direction Switch
Auto Direction appears directly below Price Bars. When enabled, an armed valid opposite signal can queue the new direction, close current VELOCITY ATM and plain positions, wait for confirmed flat status and completion of pending ATM creation, then submit the replacement direction. When disabled, opposite signals do not automatically reverse an existing position.
Maximum Active ATMs
This strategy setting applies to automated ATM submissions. It counts active ATMs plus creations still pending. Manual panel clicks intentionally bypass this automation cap so the trader can add positions; that increases risk and must be tested with the exact account, quantity, and ATM template.
Before the session
- Confirm NinjaTrader is connected and receiving current data.
- Verify instrument, contract month, NinZaRenko settings, and Trading Hours template.
- Confirm the selected account and visible Order qty.
- Select and test the ATM template, or deliberately select None and accept that no automatic brackets will exist.
- Open Session & Risk. Review Start and End, confirm SESSION is ON or OFF as intended, and verify the editable Profit and Loss amounts.
- Confirm the independent Profit and Loss words show the intended ON/OFF states.
- Confirm SYSTEM READY before arming entry types.
During the session
- Monitor OPEN P&L, NET TODAY, SYSTEM STATUS, account position, working orders, and executions.
- Click OPEN P&L to view Currency, Points, or Ticks.
- Treat ATM lines as live orders; dragging one changes the actual stop or target.
- Click an illuminated entry toggle again to disarm that signal type.
- Use Close Position or Reverse Position when intervention is required.
- Roll up unused panel sections to keep the working controls visible.
- After a connection interruption, reconcile broker and NinjaTrader records before rearming.
End of session
- Disarm all entry types individually.
- Confirm the intended account and instrument are flat and no working order remains.
- Save the NinjaTrader workspace and review the day’s executions.
Price-bar display
The Price Bars switch under Entry Arming & Display changes between the VELOCITY Heikin Ashi presentation and native NinZaRenko price bars. The separate IE Background and Signal Pills buttons were removed; background and signal-label behavior is handled by the strategy and the individual entry controls.
Compact, collapsible layout
Position Override, Entry Arming & Display, and Session & Risk each have a header arrow. Click a header to roll the section up or open it again. Rolling up a section does not turn its controls off or change their values.
Automatic persistence
VELOCITY automatically preserves the working panel state, including armed entry types, Session times and state, independent Profit and Loss values and states, Auto Direction Switch, EMA Filter, Price Bars choice, and selected ATM name. The old Save Setup and Load Setup buttons were removed.
Reusable complete setup
After testing the configuration in Simulation, save the configured chart or strategy as a native NinjaTrader template. Recheck the account, instrument, quantity, ATM selection, and every ON/OFF state whenever a template or workspace is loaded because those choices directly affect live orders.
Resizing
Resize the floating chart from any edge or corner. VELOCITY adapts to the available width. Roll up unused sections to reduce height; an internal scrollbar remains available when the chart is still too short to display every open control.
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Panel does not appear | Confirm InfinityEdgeVelocityStrategy is added and enabled, compilation completed without errors, and the chart has at least 40 bars. The panel should load with the strategy; manually enabling standard Chart Trader is not required. |
| OPEN P&L says FLAT during a trade | Verify the panel’s selected account and instrument match the active position. OPEN P&L reads that exact account/instrument position. |
| OPEN P&L unit is wrong | Click the Open P&L row to cycle Currency, Points, and Ticks. |
| A signal printed but no trade entered | Verify that exact entry type was armed before the completed event, the strategy is Realtime, SESSION is ON and inside its time range, the EMA Filter permits entry, no Profit or Loss lock is active, the ATM cap is not reached, and no plain automated position is already open. |
| Manual button does not submit | Confirm the strategy is Realtime, the account is connected, no Profit or Loss lock has latched, and the account permits the order. |
| No stop or target appeared | ATM was set to None or the selected template was unavailable. Plain entries have no automatic brackets. |
| Unexpected quantity, stops, or targets | Review the visible Order qty and active ATM template. ATM allocation and brackets come from NinjaTrader. |
| Profit or Loss lock triggered unexpectedly | Check which word shows ON. NET TODAY is account-level realized change plus unrealized P&L; other activity in the selected account can contribute. |
| A limit did not trigger | Confirm the amount is positive and the ON/OFF word beside that specific Profit or Loss limit shows ON. The two limits are independent. |
| Controls are below the window | Roll up an unused section, use the VELOCITY scrollbar, or enlarge the floating chart from an edge or corner. |
| Duplicate bars, dots, or labels | Remove a duplicate standalone indicator or second VELOCITY strategy instance. |
| Position/status mismatch after reconnect | Reconcile Accounts, Positions, Orders, Executions, and broker records before trading again. |
Connection-loss response
Reconnect, inspect the broker and NinjaTrader positions, review Orders and Executions, cancel unwanted working orders, and flatten unintended exposure before rearming VELOCITY.

Risk Disclosure
Trading futures involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose more than the amount deposited. No indicator, strategy, ATM template, P&L display, daily guard, historical result, or simulated result guarantees future performance.
Automated order handling can fail because of software, hardware, connectivity, configuration, exchange, broker, or market conditions. A threshold triggers a close request but cannot guarantee the final fill price. The trader remains responsible for monitoring every position and working order and maintaining an independent way to contact the broker or flatten risk.
